I have personally witnessed Christians claiming religious persecution whereas in reality they were not persecuted for Christ, but were a victim of their own overbearing, patronizing, and generally uncouth demeanor. Claiming to follow Christ doesn’t give one a license to be obnoxious. Being a true Christ-follower actually takes away such license and requires the exact opposite – compassion and understanding.
